Samantha A. Bookman is a compassionate Professional Counselor and Youth Advocate, boasting 13 years of expertise in guiding and nurturing the mental health and well-being of youth. Samantha's academic journey reflects her commitment to excellence and continuous learning, holding a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Learning Design and Performance Technology from Florida State University and a Post Master's Certificate in Clinical and Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. With a background in Psychology and Family & Child Sciences, Samantha has dedicated her career to fostering resilience and empowerment among youth.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Samantha is the founder of CLASS (Cultivating Leadership, Academics, Sisterhood, and Service), a mentor organization aimed at empowering elementary girls to reach their full potential. Her innovative approach to mentoring highlights her commitment to fostering leadership skills, academic success, and a sense of sisterhood among young girls.
Outside of her professional commitments, Samantha finds joy in traveling, soaking up the sun at the beach, and spending quality time with her dogs Butter and BiBi. As an active member of professional associations like the American Counseling Association and the American School Counselor Association, Samantha's holistic approach to well-being also extends to her certification as a yoga instructor. This reflects her unwavering commitment to promoting mental health through mindfulness practices. Samantha's lasting impact is evident in the creation of innovative programs that prioritize diversity, inclusion, and the holistic wellness of the youth she passionately serves.
